Center for Energy and Environment (ACEE), the University of Pretoria (UOP), the International Water Association (IWA) and the International Life Sciences Institute (ILSI) jointly hosted a one day symposium on Friday, 17 November 2000 in Pretoria, on water-related issues with particular emphasis on the re-use of water in the food and beverage industries with the CODEX Committee on Food Hygiene's "Proposed Guidelines for the Hygienic Re-Use of Processing Water in Food Plants" as a starting point.
